The AMTA-IL chapter periodically publishes and sends to its current and new members bound copies of the Illinois Massage Licensing Act and Rules of Practice. The booklet includes a brief history of the law, and, to help readers find information more easily, a quick reference guide to the various sections of the law. The current edition (yellow cover), was mailed to members in mid-September. It incorporates the continuing education amendments to the Rules of Practice adopted by the state in 2006. Copies are available ($5 for members, $10 for nonmembers) from the Illinois chapter at 140 N. Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. Funds raised through sales help to defray the cost of the chapter lobbyist.
